Shook the Spot

edition 7.4 was a little like a great dish that comes out of the kitchen lukewarm. (or eaten while the guys at the next table are cackling like wide-eyed pubescent observers at the salem witch trials. this is a separate issue.)

tonight, the slightly amateurish / ex-mafioso cast finally came back to bite chase and co. like a bullet in the ass. we've never really seen tony sirico -- that's paulie 'nuts -- try to emote much. the i-heart-huckabees-esque philosophizing was much appreciated (that flick needs a better rep; perhaps shook can give it a boost). but paulie's historical drama came off flat. the silver side vents are sleek, but the bad acting made this evening's major revelation as blunt and unwelcome as a billyclub blow to the kneecap.
 

My thoughts:

1) You talk about a perversion of an Oedipus complex, you talk abotu Paulie "My momma, now my auntie" Walnuts.

2)Injun sayings talkum wise. Helpum big pale-face find peace-um. Speaking of peace, pass peace pipe.

3)Toni Morrison might have a lot to say about the ole "Africanist presence" of the rappin' crew, shadows upon which our italianos (the original Gs) project their fears and fantasies.

4)Serves the little bastard right. He rows CREW for chrissake. What a loooser.

5)Viagra's okay, but not the birth control pill. I refer you back to my own blog, disgruntledteach.blogspot.com, to see what pop star Pink has to say about this.

6) Woke up this morning. Got yourself a gun.

PS wasn't that "Evangelicals are good for the jews" bit gratuitous? Or should we consider it a shout-out?
